CAMPS and CLINICS

Higher Ground is your source for custom clinics and camps where true learning and improvement occur. Our instructors are among the best in the world and, in recent years, we have provided instruction, coached, or used instructors from six continents - Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America. We provide exciting customized clinics for teams, leagues, associations, or the coaches, players, and parents of a geographic area.

Higher Ground has been involved as the primary group or assisted the International Softball Federation, International Sports Group, or U.S. Air Force with clinics in approximately 40 states plus Argentina, Austria, Azores, Canada, China, Cuba, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Slovakia, Sweden, US Virgin Islands, and Zambia.

In 2000-2001, Higher Ground was also been selected by the ISF to assist the Greek Softball Federation in developing a host team for the 2004 Olympics. In addition, Higher Ground CEO Bobby Simpson has served as the Head Coach for the British National Team, as well as an assistant coach for the Dutch National Team and Greek National Team.

Our summer camps are structured so that the player that really wants to improve her skills is provided the opportunity to do so. Our 1996 Albany, Georgia, camp attracted 254 girls from15 states and Canada, with instructors from the USA, Canada, Australia, and Holland. The group of 300 was treated to attendance of the Olympic softball games in Columbus and saw the USA, Japan, Australia, and Puerto Rico teams. Each year, we provide camps and clinics for all levels of skills, specializing in developing even the most elite players with our advanced and elite SUPER & SELECT Camp, SUPER Clinic, and our USA Elite Hitting Institutes.

YOUR SOFTBALL CLINICS

Customized For YOU!!

 

Our program will be customized for you!! It will not be a packaged program, but rather planned jointly with you so that we cover what you feel is most needed for people in your program. It can be set up for players, coaches, or both. It can be set for overall skill development or it can be a specialty clinic that focuses on just a few topics or even a single topic such as hitting or pitching.

Some popular schedules include one day, or evening, for coaches and another full day or more for players. Often, the coaches and/or parents attend the player sessions so that they can assist with drills and later reinforce what we covered with the players. We will work within your desires and set the schedule to meet your needs and your budget.

 

You may also want to consider hands-on sessions for coaches or a combination clinic with some indoors lecture-demo and some outdoors or gymnasium hands-on sessions. That often leads to greater understanding and increased ability to implement the skills and drills.
